  • says, wow! Slandr is awesome! #
  • @asimpson I reckon the “not being good at self promotion” thing is because you’re Scottish. A lot of us aren’t so good at selling ourselves. #
  • @solobasssteve Have you given the Slandr guys your suggestions for lowering bandwidth? Anything to lower bandwidth can only be a good thing. #
  • Decided to look at Twitter before Plurk today. It’s too easy to get lost in Plurk all day and forget everything else. Time to catch up here. #
  • Twitter still won’t let me page all the way back through older messages. Will this thing ever be properly fixed? It’s taking forever. Arrgh! #
  • @tweetanswers #twitter9 I will second @Pierro’s answer, though in the past I have seen a person who does follow me showing as not following. #
  • @debbiemet ROFL! Wickedly funny! Was it a genuine forum post, do you know? Oh, and thanks for the suggestion about Halo - will check it out. #

Twitter updates for 2008-06-06

  • Just trying to get my head around Ping.fm’s “status updates” and “microblogging” for Twitter, Plurk and others such as Facebook. Brain sore! #
  • Such astonishing stuff around: Flock, Greasemonkey, Digsby, Twitter, Plurk, Facebook, Flickr, Gmail, Last.fm, YouTube, Google Reader. Yikes. #

  • @fuelmyblog You could try Snipr (www.snipr.com) instead of TinyURL. It does exactly the same thing, but has way more functionality built in. #
  • @prp2 Snipr is the default URL-shortener for Digsby users. Digsby is essential on Windows and coming soon for others: http://snipr.com/2e51r #
  • @haraya Night night :-) #
  • @helsinkiwinner Looks like the drinks are on you! Excellent! I’ll have a treble Southern Comfort Highball on the rocks, please. No, hang on. #

  • @prp2 I saw you round at Tweet140, and thought I’d catch up with you here on Twitter. How are things in Rhode Island? http://snipr.com/2dfyt #
  • My Space Dust (a.k.a. Pop Rocks) order arrived today. I only ordered it late yesterday on eBay! Excellent UK service: http://snipr.com/2dggw #
  • Review 5 Stable Bar: Wonderful big old converted stable, with a log fire in winter. Excellent bar food, and good banter from staff. Love it. #
  • Having a look at Plurk, a strange mixture of Twitter and FriendFeed. If you’re not there already, you can join me at: http://snipr.com/2c1gw #

  • Review 5 Albanach: Modern, authentically Scottish styled bar with a very relaxed atmosphere and a large selection of unusual whiskies. Cool. #
  • Review 5 Steamie: Smart modern bar, with real character. Excellent quality bar food and nice, friendly staff. This could become a favourite. #
  • Going off for a nice bar lunch this afternoon, to a favourite, reliable haunt, which feels like it’s in the middle of the country; it isn’t! #

  • @Deke Add me over there when you arrive. I use the same username there. Let’s try and populate Profilactic more. Also, follow @sMoRTy71 too. #
  • Having a look at Plurk, a strange mixture of Twitter and FriendFeed. If you’re not there already, you can join me at: http://snipr.com/2c1gw #
  • Twitter weirdness continues. One of my tweets, which I can see on the public timeline, is missing when I look at my own Twitter page. V odd. #
  • @sMoRTy71 My pleasure. Would it be possible to add the LouderVoice review site to Profilactic? You can find it here: http://snipr.com/2aj1z #
  • Plurk seems to have fallen over! But I was very impressed at how quickly Profilactic had added it to their site list: http://snipr.com/2c12u #
  • @amypalko For the moment, seems to be up and running. But who can guess how long for? There was a huge amount of weirdness going on earlier. #
  • Review 4 Funkadelic - America Eats Its Young: Remastered, old school slab of funk originally released in 1972. The guitar riffs are awesome. #
  • Having a look at Plurk, a strange mixture of Twitter and FriendFeed. If you’re not there already, you can join me at: http://snipr.com/2c1gw #
  • Review 3 Deuter - Reiki: Hands of Light: Reminiscent of Vangelis, but all tracks slow and a bit over-saccharined. Pretty enough for new age. #
  • Having a look at Plurk, a strange mixture of Twitter and FriendFeed. If you’re not there already, you can join me at: http://snipr.com/2c1gw #
  • @michaelGregoire Good to hear you’re listening to SubSpace stuff. I need to dig those out and listen again. Did you have time to check Mono? #
  • @michaelGregoire Don’t forget to check out the wonderful Kahvi Collective, now pushing 250 releases, plus videos too: http://snipr.com/2c32r #
  • @asimpson The folk you mention that aren’t listening on Twitter, but only telling? Unless it’s a proper web service, why bother? No need to. #
