  • Sitting in the BMI business lounge at Edinburgh airport. If it’s this hot here, how hot is it in London today? Yikes. #
  • slandr|geo - updated my location to “Edinburgh airport” #
  • Whoa there - this Slandr thing is very cool indeed! #
  • @asimpson Sounds like the Beeb may be correct. They’re usually pretty good. #
  • @asimpson Regardless, you’re welcome to it :-P #
  • 40 minute delay on flight. Bored already. #
  • @petergregson Shame we missed each other. I thought it might be muggy there. Warm jacket, needed in Edinburgh yesterday, left on peg @ home! #
  • @christinekerner Thought about an N95 or an iPhone rather than a PDA? Either might do nicely for you. The N95 does a lovely job here for me. #
  • l:Heathrow Airport #
  • slandr|geo - updated my location to “Stanhope Arms, Gloucester Road, London” #
  • slandr|geo - updated my location to “Best Western John Howard, South Kensington, London” #
  • @scarlettholly eBay can be very useful. #

  • Off to London shortly for a meeting. I hope the weather there is better, although, to be honest, it was quire refreshing to some rain today. #

  • I am so hyped today. We managed to get tickets to see Tom Waits on his Glitter and Doom Tour in July! I never thought I’d see him play here. #

  • Review 5 The Mohawk Lodge - Rare Birds: Gorgeous Canadian indie debut. Opener and the last three tracks stand out, but it’s all wonderful. #
  • IM’ing with Nic_78, chatting about music. #
  • IM’ing with @Nic_78, chatting about music. #
  • @Octane No problem. TBH, I don’t use it much, though. #
  • Trying to bring some order to the chaos that is my hard drive storage space. Say how many files? #
  • Review 4 The Mohawk Lodge - Wildfires: Second album, slightly more electric. Slower tracks carry a sweet nostalgia in places. Worth hearing. #
  • Retweet @flocker You don’t need Flock to be *another* browser, you can use us as your primary browser. We have all the features Firefox has. #
  • Review 2 Sufjan Stevens - A Sun Came!: Experimental songwriter; 2 good tracks out of 25. The rest? Mainly twee, pretentious nonsense. Avoid. #
  • Review 4 Angels of Light - We Are Him: Weighty mix of gnarly, grandiose thumpers and quiet, atmospheric stillness. Gloomy, dark and pensive. #
  • Popping reviews to Loudervoice via Twitter, but today they’re not arriving. Are Twitter’s RSS feeds down at the moment, too? Anyone? #
  • Review 3 British Sea Power - The Decline Of: Spiky English melodic post-punk, epic in nature but nothing particularly memorable or anthemic. #
  • Review 4 Sunburned Hand of the Man - Fire Escape: From the USA, but Krautrock in texture and substance. Can, Faust or Neu? They’re all here. #
  • @amypalko Are you sure it’s not Twitter that’s the problem today, rather than twhirl? #
  • @Penguin Guitar Centaur conjures up a lovely picture :) #
  • Some spammers seem to have snuck in under the radar when the service was slow. Blocking them now - you may want to check your Twitter Karma. #
  • @twitter_status hasn’t been updated for 24 days. Anyone know who runs that account? Official, or third party? If official, what’s the story? #
  • @solobasssteve Have you heard of Barry Cleveland? You might like him. Think King Crimson but with other weird sounds: http://snipr.com/2apwe #
  • @solobasssteve Bots and other spammy sorts - where’d they come from? Was it simply due to Twitter sluggishness? And where are our RSS feeds? #
  • Settling down for the evening to watch Internal Affairs III, the final movie in the Hong Kong trilogy. I’ve never seen this one before. Ssh! #
  • I was just plain stupid there. It was, of course, Infernal Affairs III that I went off to view, rather than Internal anything. Silly old me. #
  • Review 3 Infernal Affairs III: Sequel, with odd prequel moments, to I and II. More violent, with a love interest. Not a patch on the others. #

  • Review 5 Infernal Affairs: Stylish HK thriller; police mole vs Triad mole. So good, was ripped off by Scorsese for “The Departed” #movie #
  • LouderVoice: nice site for adding your own mini reviews, via mobile, Twitter, Pownce or your blog: http://snipr.com/2aj1z #
  • Review 5 Leslies Bar: Authentic, comfortable bar, with Victorian mahogany gantry; nice selection of beers and spirits, and great atmosphere. #
  • @solobasssteve Listing to your album “Grace and Gratitude” for the first time. Thumbs up so far. #
  • Review 5 Earthy: Excellent eco-friendly food market with fairly-traded, local, natural, seasonal and organic produce. Helpful staff too. #
  • Review 4 Steve Lawson - Grace and Gratitude: Ambient bass guitar soundscapes ebb and flow; like Fripp in places, but funky in others. Smart. #
  • Review 3 Parts & Labor - Mapmaker: Uneasy mix of punk and electro. Two high flashes, but most tracks pretty pedestrian. I wouldn’t bother. #
  • Review 4 The Decemberists - Castaways and Cutouts: Portland OR storytellers coaxed me into their tales with wit and aplomb. Very listenable. #
  • What is Twitter? Here’s a primer for folks new to the service: http://tweeternet.com/ #
  • Review 4 Infernal Affairs II: Slowburning, complex prequel; intense and fascinating. Eric Tsang reliable as ever. Lovely HK handover ending. #

  • Up too early for a Saturday! Considering a quiet bar lunch, then my first visit to the new food market, Earthy: http://snipr.com/2ae1c #
  • @pgweb No problem. Sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy it, especially when you were visiting. Next time, let me know and I’ll recommend a place. #
  • @Nic_78 Going out for a bar lunch soon, then to Earthy :) You can get me via Skype or MSN in the meantime (how cool is that?). #
