Glasgow newspaper The Herald has reported that a BBC weatherman has described the Western Isles, the island group off the north west coast of Scotland, as “nowheresville“. Tsk tsk.

The weather is becoming increasingly frustrating here in the UK, as it is elsewhere in Europe. This will be the fourth time we’ve had severe gales in the past month or so, including those which forced cancellation of the Hogmanay parties at the end of 2006.
I wish it would just snow instead.
