While I agree that PPP is at the top of the monetization game, I do recommend PayU2Blog as well.  There are a number of companies that pay bloggers, but PU2B is remarkably consistent (and not too onerous) in their requirements.</description>

I downloaded AIR directly from the Pownce page. I've just checked it in "add or remove programs", and it's definitely Adobe AIR 1.0 Beta 1 that's installed.

It sounds like you may be running an older version of the AIR runtime, which is now in beta 1. 

Read the instructions here to uninstall the old version then reinstall the new version.
