Blog Walkabout, 22. Juli 2007

oben dort anspannen

Have I wirklich nie besuchtes Andy Beard auf einem Walkabout schon?

Lisa has written about her choice of the new seven wonders of the world. It’s nice to see the Glasgow School of Art is among them; I’m embarrassed to say I’ve never visited, but I can see that I should.

disassociated.com is the blog of John Lampard, who’s based in Sydney, Australia. John has posted some photographs of the campus of the University of New South Wales. I realise it’s winter there, but we rarely get warm colours like those here in Scotland; it’s always too busy raining.

Canadian Christine Hingray runs La Vie 101. She plays in a drum corps and apologises for not writing as often as she should, which I guess I ought to do too. Christine is in the process of writing an in-depth autobiography, which is a fascinating read.

To the Philippines now (does everyone there have a blog?) and to Rachiel Cuaresma’s Chelism. She writes about two weeks of traction and casts and muses on her career in nursing. A very worthwhile and admirable profession, Rachiel.

Our final stop today is The Blog of Kendall, which is run by Kendall Schoenrock from the US. Kendall writes about a broad range of subjects. He’s written a great post about why we need to be observant. Definitely food for thought.

That’s all for today, folks. Have a good week!

Hey, thanks for the mention and the linky love Baxter! I’m rather squeamish myself when it comes to anything passing my lips, can’t say I’ll be trying this out any time soon ':-)' What’s amazing is that it’s such a rage, and how much people are willing to pay for it. Thinking of getting into the business ? ';-)'

Andy Beard is an excellent read. His posts are always extensively detailed with helpful and useful information, and also one of the reasons that I joined his great site at BumpZee in the first place.

I’ll have to check into the rest of your links, sounds very interesting.

And I checked to make sure I had famed you at BTF while I was here ';-)'

Andy, I wasn’t sure about UniversityUpdate. It did get caught by Aksimet, but I thought it was just a pingback from a service that collected new blog posts on specific subjects.

Their trackback certainly gives the appropriate link back here (though doubtlessly with nofollow). Is there more to them than meets the eye?

[…] The Far Corner blog featured me last Sunday. Go check it out It says that my “in-depth autobiography” is a fascinating read. It’s far from done yet, but I am glad that people actually read this thing, and find it interesting. I have always thought of my life as boring and uneventful. I guess a lot of people still prefer everyday realtime drama then made up crap. lol It did remind me that I have to keep writing this thing. I mostly do it for me, to remember specific moments that I might have blocked out and might have something to do with who I am now. I make it public because I am in constant need for attention. Just kidding. I don’t know why I write my life to the world. […]
