BlogCatalog Bloggers Charitable Fundraising Challenge
Whilst I live in the UK, I’m conscious of the fact that most of my readers live in the USA.
With this in mind, I’d like to take a couple of minutes of your time to point out a charitable cause in the USA to which you might wish to consider giving a donation. BlogCatalog, the excellent social directory for bloggers, has challenged its members to write about DonorsChoose, a nonprofit organization that brings teachers and donors together, to fund specific student projects that range from “Magical Math Centers†to “Cooking Across the Curriculumâ€.
You can read more about BlogCatalog’s specific challenge to us on DonorChoose’s Bloggers Making History page. The goal is to raise $25,000 for schools around the USA, many of which are in New Orleans. Of course, if we manage to raise more than this, so much the better. If we do, we’ll have set a precedent that will enable the blogging community to support other good causes in the future.
Please give a donation if you can. If not, please post about it on your blog to make others aware.
