Muhammad Saleem of Pronet Advertising writes about a new social website named Explode.

The concept shares a number of similarities with MyBlogLog. Explode describes itself as a simple way to connect to all your friends, regardless of their network. Users can be searched for by their interests, which are effectively tags, and you can add your own interests rather than being constrained by what’s made available by the webmaster. An RSS feed is available for each search, which is particularly useful as it allows you keep you appraised of who has added a common interest to their profile. Clicking on a link in the RSS post will take you directly to the Explode user’s blog or website.

There’s a widget available that can be placed on your own website; this will show which of your friends has recently visited your site. There is a degree of configurability to the widget too.

I think Explode may do well.
